An amazing tribute show to John Hughes' films will take place at the brand new Venice place of Gallery1988. My contribution to that show will be this Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Board Game print. That’s right, next editions won’t be hand signed. Signature will be printed at the bottom right corner of the poster. Nonetheless, authenticity certificates will accompany those large size editions. Johns Hughes, the director of one of my all time favourite movies, Ferris Bueller’s day off, died this month while he was taking a walk on West 55^th Street, in Manhattan.

He was also the writer and producer of Home Alone and its sequels, among many other movies. Here’s my late homage to him. Bye bye, John Hughes.

Peter Ackerman is a very talented writer. You may know him as one of the authors of the Ice Age movies. He recently wrote an amazing book for children and asked me to illustrate its pages, to which I joyfully acceded. He’s also a very good person and we understood each other very well, maybe because of the fact we go around looking much alike. What do you think?

Anyway, I’m very proud of the results we have achieved.

That’s right. And I apologize for being out so much time. I had a huge amount of work these last months and didn’t have the energy to post at the end of the day (is that a sign that I’m getting old?). Plus, I moved my home and studio, and had my life in boxes for a while. I also was kidnapped by aliens and my anus still hurts a little bit during humid days. But now I’m back, as I said. I still have a full IN tray, but I’ll try to keep this blog updated as you deserve, my dear friends.

I’m happy to say these last months I’ve been collaborating to London’s Monocle Magazine. If you still don’t know it, you should take a look at its website. This remarkable magazine covers many assorted subjects such as international affairs, business, culture and design.
