Ken Leung Interview

Here's a great interview to Ken Leung at Grain Edit. Ken worked as an art director at Monocle magazine for 25 issues. A guy with a very good taste when choosing illustartors, I must say. He made an exception with me, cause he's a kind man too. Below, a recent illustration I did for the magazine.

Lost in New York

Johns Hughes, the director of one of my all time favourite movies, Ferris Bueller’s day off, died this month while he was taking a walk on West 55th Street, in Manhattan.

He was also the writer and producer of Home Alone and its sequels, among many other movies. Here’s my late homage to him. Bye bye, John Hughes.

Interview at Diskursdisko

Vincent, the brain behind the great German blog Diskursdisko, came up with the risky idea of making an interview with me. But the questions were very accurate and he even made me look like a cool guy! Read it here and then read the rest of the blog, which is pretty interesting. Thanks Vincent!

A New York Classic

Peter Ackerman is a very talented writer. You may know him as one of the authors of the Ice Age movies. He recently wrote an amazing book for children and asked me to illustrate its pages, to which I joyfully acceded. He’s also a very good person and we understood each other very well, maybe because of the fact we go around looking much alike. What do you think?

Anyway, I’m very proud of the results we have achieved.

“The Lonely Phone Booth” will be released in the United States in May 2010 by David R. Godine. Here are some images.

The Nation

La Nación, in fact. That is the name of one of the two most important newspapers in Argentina. Here’s an illustration I did for them for an article about the Belgian-Argentinean writer Julio Cortázar.
